Susan Senn: Owner, Operator

Sue Senn is originally from Western Pennsylvania, where she and her husband,
Attorney Eric Senn, owned and operated Sniffles and Friends Professional Pet
Sitting Service for three years in the suburban Pittsburgh area, before moving their
pet sitting passion to Philadelphia in 2006.  Sniffles and Friends got its name and
inspiration from Sue and Eric’s beloved little poodle mix, Sniffles, who was found
outside a convenience store in Greensburg, PA and who brightened the Senn
family’s life forever.

Sue holds a degree in Applied Medical Science, and is currently working towards a degree in
Psychology, and then eventually earning her master’s degree in Bioethics.

Sue is proud to have earned much hands-on veterinary knowledge and experience while she was
employed at Trooper Veterinary Hospital near Norristown, PA (chosen multiple times as Montgomery
County’s Best Veterinary Practice).  She is American Red Cross certified in animal first aid and CPR, and
encourages all her assistant pet sitters at Sniffles and friends to earn their certifications as well.

Sue also was employed at Action for Animals in Latrobe, PA as an animal caretaker and adoption
counselor.

Sue and Eric are very active in the Philadelphia animal community, and they contribute funding, time, and
efforts to many rescue organizations on the east coast (SARAH Handicaps in Connecticut, Purrfect Paws
Rescue in Delaware County, Green Street Rescue in Philadelphia, the PSPCA and many other rescues
locally and in neighboring states with whom Sue networks extensively on a daily basis.)

Sue is a proud member of the Advisory Board for Philadoptables (Formerly ACCT Advisory Board) -
Philadoptables is an independent nonprofit organization that is dedicated to the welfare and adoption of
the 30,000+ animals that arrive each year at the Philadelphia animal control shelter (111 W. Hunting
Park Aveue), the region's largest open-admission, high-volume public shelter.

Sue was selected as a Philadelphia area ambassador for the
Grey Muzzle Organization which strives to
improve the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing funding and resources to animal shelters, rescue
organizations, sanctuaries, and other non-profit groups nationwide.

Sue and Eric are also extensively involved in volunteer work in the Philadelphia area, personally donating
their time and efforts towards the rescue, transport, and fostering of homeless and neglected pets, and
have personally found loving homes for many adorable pets who have brought much joy to their new
families. There is always a new foster in the Senn home – or two or three . . .

Sue is active with Philly Ferals’ project to spay and neuter feral cats in the City of Philadelphia, and does
regular pickup and transport for “the Cube”, the feral cat spay and neuter clinic at the PSPCA in
Philadelphia. Sue is proud to be an active member of the Philadelphia Community Cats Council and
helps with emergency rescue and transport through that organization on a regular basis.

Sue is a certified transporter for Take Me Home Transporters (national animal transport network) and
participates in the transport of injured, abandoned, and homeless pets for many local rescues (Green
Street Rescue, the Cube at PSPCA, Nonlethal Options for Animals, ACCT, etc.)

Sue is a member of UNCHAIN PA DOGS | Pennsylvania Coalition Against Tethering.

Sue and Eric’s weekends usually involve lots of petsitting,  interstate and local pet transport, networking
with rescue groups from across the United States, fundraising and participating in local animal charities
and events, keeping up with the latest animal rights/legal issues through related seminars sponsored
by the University of Pennsylvania School of Law, and (of course) studying.

Sue enjoys writing “Sue’s Views for Happy Pets”, an informative column that Sue authors, pertaining to
pet health, behavior, and general well-being that is featured in the monthly newsletters of many of the
high-rise apartment and condo communities in Center City, Roxborough/Manayunk, and Northern
Liberties, as well as in the PSPCA monthly newsletter “The Scoop”.

On the rare occasions that she has spare time, Sue enjoys bike riding, checking out the museum and art
world in her new home (since 2003) of Philadelphia, visiting with her two adult children, and having fun
with her pets, which include three small dogs, six cats, and a colorful array of foster friends for whom
Sue is always on the lookout for the perfect home.
